A few quick answers to the things we’re asked most.

How do I add a source?

Open Riveo and go to Settings › Sources. Choose Media servers, Network shares, Live TV, or Cloud drives, then enter your details. Riveo talks directly to your own server or service — there is no Riveo account to create.

Which sources and formats does Riveo support?

Sources: Plex, Emby, and Jellyfin servers; SMB, NFS, WebDAV, and FTP network shares; M3U and Xtream Codes IPTV; and Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, and pCloud. Playback covers common containers and codecs including MKV, MP4, HEVC, and H.264, with HDR10, Dolby Vision, and multichannel audio on supported devices.

How do I restore or manage a purchase?

Purchases are handled by Apple. To restore, open Riveo › Settings and tap Restore Purchases. To view, change, or cancel a subscription, go to Settings › your name › Subscriptions on your device. Refunds are requested through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com — we cannot view or refund purchases directly.

My subtitles or audio track are not showing.

Riveo plays external and embedded subtitle and audio tracks — open the playback menu and pick the track you want. If nothing matches, use Search subtitles to find one online. Note that some streams do not carry extra tracks at all.

How does iCloud sync work, and can I turn it off?

Your sources, playlists, watchlist, and playback progress sync through your own private iCloud so they follow you across devices. You can turn sync off anytime in Riveo's settings. Removing a source deletes its saved credentials from your device.

How do I delete my data?

Because your data lives on your device and in your own iCloud, you are in control. Delete a source to remove its credentials, or delete the app to remove its local data. To remove synced data everywhere, disable sync or delete Riveo's data from your Apple Account's iCloud storage. We hold no copy of it ourselves.

How do I report content or a copyright concern?

Riveo does not host, provide, or index any content — it only plays the sources you add yourself. If you believe a third-party source infringes your rights, please contact that source's operator. For concerns about the app itself, email us and we will respond appropriately.
